Amie Iddon

Amie is from the great city of Wolverhampton. Although she has moved around a little, it has always been within the Lichfield Diocese, and now she is even in the Lichfield deanery! Her house is busy; she is married to a vicar, and they have four children aged 9-17. They also have quite a few pets because they really love animals. Amie has worked in the parish of Aldridge for the past nine years and loved every minute of it. Whether it's been running a crazy holiday club, camping in the church garden, or helping those in the community who are having a hard time. It was quite emotional to leave her role in Aldridge, but she is also very excited to see what God does next! Amie has also worked for a housing association and has a degree in history.

Amie has a real heart for making the gospel accessible to all sorts of people, which is something she thinks God is calling her to do in her ministry. She has loved working in Fresh Expressions and using creative ways to explore faith, and is excited to do this in curacy too! Amie has so enjoyed journeying with so many different people from different types of churches during her training so far. She has definitely learnt that there is no stereotype when it comes to those who are called to ministry - we are all so different and yet equally called to serve God's church through ordained ministry. Her advice to anyone exploring their call is to be open to what God might have for you, and to trust God's provision along the way. It is amazing what God will do if you let him!

Amie will serve her curacy at Shenstone and Stonnall
