Growing Good: Taster Session on Hospitality

Community & Diversity

Decorative

Thursday 17 September 2026

Growing Good is a small group resource which helps churches connect with their local community and make a difference where they live. This interactive session is a taster of one of the 7 sessions from Church Urban Fund.

Practicing hospitality invites people into a common life. Hospitality is more than just a welcome – it is about building two-way relationships. Jesus teaches us to give and receive hospitality in a way that heals divides rather than reinforces them.

Ideal for

  • Refreshing welcome on a Sunday and equipping welcome teams
  • Community outreach and developing relationships with neighbours
  • Experiencing a taster of the wider 7 module Growing Good course with a view to running it as a small group in parish

Who is it for: Anyone with an interest in the topic

Course Leader: Polly Taylor (Church Resource Manager, CUF)

Course Hosts: Carrie Blount (Strengthening Communities Enabler, Diocese of Lichfield) and Helen Emery (Whole Life Discipleship Officer, Diocese of Lichfield)
