Wednesday 14 October 2026A Churchwarden is responsible to the Bishop, the Incumbent and to the Parish for many things. Not least of these is the responsibility to maintain regular worship according to the pattern agreed with the PCC. Most of the time this will be no problem as locally appointed clergy will be available to conduct worship as required. However, on some occasions, such as illness or a vacancy this becomes more difficult and can result in a lot of phone calls to keep a rota together. There may also be times when there is no alternative than for a Warden to lead worship. This training session will give some ideas for creating suitable worship for these eventualities and a chance to practice delivery. Who is it for: Churchwardens within the Diocese of Lichfield Course Hosts:Philip Taylor Time: Arrivals from 9:45am, session starts at 10am and finishes at 12:30pm Venue: Shallowford House, Shallowford, Stone, Staffs (for satnavs please use ST15 0PB, comprehensive directions are available here)
