Biggest footprint in Chad Foundations

There was a sense of joy and celebration at Shallowford House on Saturday as the biggest group yet were presented with certificates on completing the Chad Foundations course - Lichfield Diocese's programme of study designed to give people the opportunity to explore what it means to be called to serve God and others, through recognised lay ministry.

After a year's work - a mixture of online sessions, in-person gatherings and individual study - thrity-five people from all parts of the diocese were congrtulated by Bishop Michael and with the company of the course tutors,

Initiial Ministerial Development Office, Revd Ben Care said "We're delighted to see the growth in the Chad Foundations course since its inception three years ago. It's a really promising development in our strategy to encourage people to develop their discipleship and explore their vocation."

For some, the Chad Foundations course is a basis to new opportunities to serve in local churches, a pathway to Reader, other lay and ordained ministry.
