An exciting opportunity for focussed local ministry as part of a collegiate deanery mission team on the southern edge of the Peak District.
The new Alstonefield Deanery Mission Area aims to:
- enable growth in Discipleship, Vocation and Evangelism across a rural deanery which is numerically small but geographically large.
- facilitate sustainable, life-giving, mission and ministry across the Deanery.
We are looking for a priest with a heart for rural mission, who brings both experience and enthusiasm for collaborative working, to join the team of 2 full-time and 1 other HfD clergy. Across the deanery parishes are joined into family groups, with the full-time clergy sharing missional responsibilities across the whole deanery.
A great post for someone who wants the challenge of making a huge difference for local communities whilst working fewer hours.
You will be supported by committed and very active competent PCCs and a strong, collaborative Deanery Team – together sharing skills as well as the joys and the burdens of parish ministry.
All applicants should normally have 3 years experience in the Church of England or another Anglican church in the British Isles.
For an informal conversation please email the Bishop of Stafford.
